The Institute of International Studies (TIIS) is a new and vibrant Higher Education Provider, established in 2018. By 2025 we aspire to be the leading provider, in Sydney, of professionally focused postgraduate education programs in the non-university, higher education sector.

Information Sessions, One-on-One Campus Tour
At TIIS we give the potential students the opportunity to book a One-on-One Campus Tour and Information Session with our dedicated academic and professional staff.
Throughout the year, TIIS hosts various industry events and meet-ups to provide students with multiple opportunities for networking and showcasing their work. These will also lead to internship opportunities for those students demonstrating a great attitude and talent in their field of study. Check the TIIS website for more.

Admission criteria
Local Students
- Completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian institution (or equivalent) OR
- Completion of a Graduate Certificate from a recognised Australian institution (or equivalent) OR
- TAFE, or equivalent, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a related field and three years’ relevant work experience OR
- Other relevant qualifications and/or experience as approved by the Academic Director. This entry criterion applies in particular to applicants who are 21 years of age or older.
Exclusions
Students who have an Australian undergraduate degree in Accounting are not eligible for admission.
International Students
- Completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution OR
- Completion of a Graduate Certificate from a recognised Australian institution (or equivalent) OR
- TAFE, or equivalent, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a related field and three years’ relevant work experience OR
- Other relevant qualifications and/or experience as approved by the Academic Director. This entry criterion applies in particular to mature age students.
Exclusions
Students who have an Australian undergraduate degree in Accounting are not eligible for admission
International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate competency in the English Language. English proficiency can be demonstrated by providing evidence of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall test result (or equivalent alternative test result – such as TOEFL or the PTE Academic as defined by regulation) that meets the specified level of English proficiency required for the course.
In 2019 those scores are:
- IELTS 6.5 overall
- TOEFL 93 overall (internet based)
- PTE 59 – 64.
Other acceptable evidence of English proficiency includes but may not be limited to:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree via the medium of English
- Successful completion of no less than the equivalent of one- year full-time study at a recognised, government- accredited, public or private secondary / post-secondary course that is taught in English equivalent to the level of Australian Year 12 or higher.
