Its educational functions encompass postgraduate training and Continuing Professional Development for dermatologists, as well as training for general practitioners, nurses and medical students.

Policies and Services
Admission criteria
To be eligible for entry to ACD’s postgraduate courses you must meet the following requirements:
- hold a bachelor degree in medicine (or equivalent)
- be registered to practice medicine within Australia (and be living in Australia)
- be a current Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Please note that this course is not available for international students.
Applicants with higher education study
The courses offered by the College are only offered to students who meet the admission criteria.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study
No courses are offered in this category.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
The College offers specific pathways into the Dermatology Training Program (non-HEP) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Completion of this Training Program enables students to meet one of the criteria of entry into other College HEP courses.
Domestic applications with overseas qualifications
Provided your medical degree is accepted in Australia and you meet other entry requirements, you would be eligible to apply for entry.

Enrolment
Acceptance of offer
Successful applicants will be notified by email. To accept your offer, you must enrol in units prior to the commencement of the semester, or as otherwise approved.
Advanced standing
Advanced Standing is available for Fellows of the Australasian College of Dermatologists who have completed courses with the College previously. Grandfathering and RPL policies are available on the website.
Deferment
Deferment is available to all applicants for up to one year only.
Fees and charges
Tuition fees are paid prior to the commencement of each subject. Withdrawal from a subject prior to the census date will result in a full refund of the tuition fee with no academic penalty. A refund of tuition fees will not normally be given after the census date. However, a student may apply for consideration of a refund on the grounds of exceptional circumstances.
