Admission criteria
Applicants with higher education study
Undergraduate Certificate
Entry requirement: Domestic students must be 15 years at commencement. International students must be 18 years at commencement. No secondary education required.
English proficiency: 6 Academic IELTS with no band score below 5.5
Graduate Certificate
Entry requirement: Undergraduate degree or 3 years relevant business or hospitality experience and expertise at a management level. No ATAR score required.
English proficiency: 6.5 Academic IELTS with no band score below 6.

Successful completion of an Australian Higher Education qualification, its country equivalent as assessed by a qualification recognition service.
Postgraduate Courses
Successful completion of an Australian Higher Education qualification at AQF level 7 or higher or its country equivalent as assessed by a qualification recognition service.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Provision for exemptions to entry requirements is established in the Student Selection and Admissions Policy, within set parameters and with the approval of the Dean. Grounds for exemption include membership of an under-represented or disadvantaged group, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Applicants for whom an exemption to entry requirements is approved may be required to participate in a program of support.
Domestic applications with overseas qualifications
International qualifications issued by non-Australian institutions are assessed with reference to the Country Education Profiles provided by the Government of Australia.
English language requirements
The official language of instruction is English, if an applicant speaks another language as first language they must meet our minimum entry requirements of IELTS 6.0 with no band score of 5.5 or below or equivalent.

5. Assessment of Application
Once we receive your application form, we will assess whether you meet the entry requirements for the study program that you have applied for. This includes education background, age and English ability.
Once our Admissions team have received your completed application, a Letter of Offer will be issued within 3 business days of receipt. If you have applied direct to Le Cordon Bleu Australia, this will be sent to the email address advised on your application.
6. Once your application is approved a Letter of Offer will be issued. This will include the Acceptance of Offer with payment details.

Advanced standing
Are you looking to apply for Academic Credit? Academic Credit is explained as the following two options:
Credit Transfer - a system whereby successfully completed units of study contribute towards a degree or diploma can be transferred from one course to another.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - recognition of prior learning is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual's relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit.
Assessment of any associate application for Academic Credit will be assessed by Academic Services. Applications with Academic Credit included may take between 10-14 days for an assessment to be completed.
Deferment
If you are looking to defer your studies to the next intake, please complete a copy of our deferral form and provide to our Admissions Team. Upon receipt, if available, a new Letter of Offer will be issued. You will be required to sign a new Acceptance of Offer and a new Confirmation will be issued.
Please note that as the dates of offer will have changed, we do require a new Acceptance of Offer showing you do wish to proceed with these dates before a Confirmation can be issued.
