Admission criteria

All applicants

General Selection requirements

A potential student is required to demonstrate in an interview with an academic staff member of suitability for the course concerned, some courses may have further requirements in the interview. You will be required to provide contact details for a character referee, who will endorse the application, by completing a Confidential Reference form supplied by the College.

The College reserves the right to disregard any of the above entry criteria for those it considers suitable for the requested course of study.

Credit transfer

Credit transfer allows you to count previous education or training in a similar field or topic towards part of a degree or other qualification. This can reduce the number of subjects you have to do to gain your qualification. You will need statements of academic achievement to support your request for credit.

Deferment

Successful applicants may apply to defer commencement of their studies. Deferrals may not be permitted in all courses, are not granted automatically and will not be granted to allow the commencement of another tertiary course.

Student and campus services

Student welfare

At Eastern, student welfare is a priority and our Student Life Coordinator and Course Advisors will ensure that each student is amply supported throughout their journey with us. The College's Student Life Coordinator also provides support to students in need or crisis.

Facilities

Students have easy access to Information Technology staff for assistance with difficulties encountered using the College's digital infrastructure. Students are granted access to Eastern College Australia's library and on campus resources.

Fees and Financial Assistance

The following Australian Government loan schemes are to assist eligible students with their study fees.

* HECS-HELP - assists eligible students in Commonwealth Supported Places pay their student contribution amounts.

* FEE-HELP - assists eligible fee-paying students to pay all or part of their tuition fees for higher education courses.
