Policies and Services
Admission criteria
Applicants with Recent Secondary Education (within the past two years)
Australian Year 12 Applicants must have completed an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent within the last two years. Applicants must present evidence of completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (or equivalent). There is no minimum ATAR requirement or prerequisite subjects.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is designed to recognise and acknowledge current knowledge, skills, attributes that students may have gained through previous tertiary study. Collarts will grant course credit in Recognition of Prior Learning if the student is assessed to meet the requirements set by the college.The maximum number of units for which exemption may be granted is 50%.
Entrance Requirements
Entry to Collarts is via an interview and/or audition process. Although we do not require a particular ATAR score, aptitude and ability to complete the course is assessed through our interview/audition process. Once Collarts (Australian College of the Arts) is placed within your VTAC preferences, you will be contacted to arrange your interview/audition and a tour of the campus. Please refer to individual VTAC course pages for specific entry requirements.

Non-Year 12 Applicants
Non- year 12 applicants must have either completed an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (Year 12) or must be at least 20 years of age to be eligible to apply if they have not successfully completed year 12.

Enrolment
Acceptance of Offer
The Letter of Offer requests that applicants carefully read through the document to ensure their personal and intended course of enrolment details are correct and that they understand the conditions of enrolment at Collarts. If the applicants have any questions or concerns, they are encouraged to make contact with the Admissions Team to clarify before accepting their offer to study. To formally accept their offered place, applicants are required complete, sign and return the Agreement Acceptance

Deferment
Applicants are eligible to defer for up to one year from interview/audition. Where a student wishes to defer their enrolment and delay their commencement of study date, the student must lodge an Application to Defer the Commencement of Study form outlining the reasons for the request.

FEES
The indicative tuition fees for each course of study at Collarts can be found at the Fees tab for the respective course under the FAQs section of the college website.
Students must meet the liability for tuition fees by Census Date each trimester, having either:
a) Deferred their entire tuition fee liability through FEE-HELP assistance
b) Paid part of their tuition fees upfront and deferred the balance through FEE-HELP assistance
c) Paid in full all tuition fees upfront

Collarts focuses on giving students real-life industry experiences so that they are career-ready when they graduate. We provide a wide range of experience-based scholarships for Collarts? students that enrich their study experience and connect them with the industry they want to work in. Collarts supports students in a variety of ways, from overseas exchange programs, to international summer camps, interstate conference attendance, sought after internships and hands-on experience at major festivals.
